Some early napkin rings were made from tinplate; their
simplicity lends them a certain air of elegance. They are available
individually or in a set of four or more either plain or with
one, two, or three hand-punched letters of a period style. Any
combination of letters can be chosen for a set. Some people choose
a combination of the first and last initial of each family members
name and also some plain rings for guests use. A couple
might choose two monogrammed and two plain napkin rings.
