Federal Hill is a home that was constructed between 1795 and 1818 for Judge John Rowan who was a Senator and United States Secretary of State. The Georgian style house had 13 rooms. Extensive interior restoration work in 2007 interpreted the house to a period between 1840 and 1855. The house suffered fire damage in 1840; it is reasonable to conclude that restoration work at that time would have included an upgrade of the lighting fixtures. Two Solar Pendant fixtures and a Solar 3-Burner Chandelier were supplied for use in various rooms on the first floor. |
